SD 1 DESCRIPTION
1.1 This class has been created to attract the interest of new drivers, irrespective of their age or gender.
1.2 The rules were designed to make it as easy as possible for these drivers to enter the oval track racing industry.
1.3 The intension of the rules is to keep the class cheap and safe and at the same time keep the necessity of policing to a minimum.
1.4 The concept of the class is therefore to encourage the use of existing and/or easy obtainable cars and parts but also to ensure a safe and fair competition by imposing limitation by restricting the amount of air induced into the combustion chamber.
1.5 It is the intension of the controlers to provide a platform for these novice drivers to obtain the necessary racing skills and not to accomodate drivers and/or parents wanting to accelerate in the racing industry by winning at all costs.
1.6 Only drivers that previously held no MSA Oval Licence will be allowed in this class.
1.7 A driver can’t race any further in the Development class once he or she has left this class to race in another class (it does not mean that Development drivers are not allowed to race together with another class).
